safely?  Try your luck in this quick play scenario.  Perfect for teaching the game to new players.

Story Thus Far:
Time till outbreak: 6 Hours
"Awe come on Jack, you know you want to go to the party.  It'll be fun!"  Emily said to her brother.

"Ok ok sis, Marcus and I will meet you there.  I still have the address." Jack said jokingly to his sister.

"Great!" squeeling in delight, "I'll see you guys there.  This is going to be such fun!  I'm going as a news
reporter.  What are you guys going as?"  Emily asked.

"I'm going as a biker and Marcus will go as a 70's Mr. Cool... he likes that disco look ya know."  Jack replied.

"Wow it'll be great to see your getups.  I'll see you at seven."  she replied.

"See ya then sis."  Jack said hanging up the phone.

Time till outbreak: 2 hours
The three, having dressed and readied for the evening, met up at Luke's house for the party.  Emily
looked exactly the part, she'd even borrowed a professional video camera.  Looking through the lens at
the two she said, "This is Emily Parker, live at the Freekshow Party, hosted by Luke Smithers.  Here are
two well dressed gentlemen... Sir excuse me.  Can you tell me a bit about yourself?"  Emily said holding out
her microphone.

"I'm Jack, and I run with the Scorpions.  We're the most bad ass biker gang in all of the Eastside."  Jack
said playfully.

"You fool, I'm Marcus and this", he said holding up his 45 Revolver, "is mister big bang!"  Marcus said
brandishing his revolver.

"Shit Marcus!" shocked Emily blurted out. "Is that real?"

"Hell yea baby!" he replied, still in character.

"Put that away." Jack's harsh tone filling the air.

"Hey calm down you two.  It's not loaded.  It makes for a great costume addition. I'm not going to let anyone
hold it, I'll be careful.  Trust me."

Jack and Emily nodded and they all went into the party.

Time till outbreak: 1 hour
At NRTI, National Research and Testing Institute, Dr. Halstead was working late.  He hadn't wanted to be
there working on this new batch of viruses.  He wanted to be home, with his family.
Damn, I bet the kids
look great this year.
he thought.  Sally is going to be so mad, I promised her I'd be home.  Maybe if I just
start the sampling and go home I can come back later to work on this.
 Halstead had been assigned to
work on the project because of his specialization on Viruses.  His triple doctorate in the filed made him
perfrect for it.  So he'd been given the top secret clearance, and not told what the project was.  He'd been
assigned to code the genetics of this new virus and devise a mean with which it could be destroyed.
Fracking government and their biological weapon "What If" projects.  I'm sick of working on weapons.  I
didn't get involved in research for this crap.
he thought, setting down his work.  Spinning to open the
refridgeration unit his coat hit, and knocked off the petri dish.  "Crash" the sound of breaking glass echoed
through the room.  "Shit!"  exclaiming.  Halstead ran towards the Emergency Sanitation System, in hopes
of sealing the room.  Tripping he fell and hit his head on the table.  He passed out.

Outbreak Occurred sixteen hours ago:
Halstead felt the congealed blood he was laying in and opened his eyes.  The red pulsing emergency
lights flashed rythmically.  The sirens had been silenced.  Turning his head he noticed the door to his lab
had been opened.
Odd, that shouldn't have happened.  Didn't I seal the room?  I need to get this head
wound looked at.
Rising Halstead tried to move out into the hall, and when he saw the dead bodies of
the soldiers, their faces half eaten, arms ripped from their sockets, and the blood all over the walls and
floor he knew something was very very wrong.

Time Since Outbreak: 2 Hours
"Holly Shit! We gotta get outta this town!"  Marcus exclaimed.  The trio had raced across town to Jack and
Emily's parents house, gas peddle pressed all the way to the floor board.  By the time they arrived it was
too late.   Their parents had fled, and for good reason the things were everywhere.  They were eating the
living, shear madness!  They'd parked the car a block away and walked, having learned early on that if
you were quiet they didn't come towards you.  Leaving out the back door through the yard they'd managed
to each grab a weapon from the safe in the office.  Moving through the back alley they quietly headed out
towards their car when they realized they'd been trapped.  The things had swarmed around the car.

Whispering, "I can't take this anymore... " Emily began crying softly.

"Shhh, it's ok sis.  We'll get out of here and find them.  Mom and Dad coudn't have gone far."  Jack
whispered.

"We gotta pull our shit together!  Ok everyone we'll head back towards the park.  Then we can follow the
river out of town.  Head back to my place and try to figure out what's going on."  Marcus said.

"Emily, maybe if you record a video of this stuff it'll help your nerves and possibly be of use.  Just pretend
you're a news reporter.  It'll calm you down."  Jack said.

Stiffling her cries she nodded, and tried to start three times before her acting kicked in.  Jack held the
camera for her.  "This is...  this...  this is Emily Parker coming to you live from Centerville where a mystery
is unfolding.  As you can see in the background several people have been severely damaged, and appear
to no longer be bleeding.  It is this reporters opinion that what we are witnessing is the living dead.  All the
movies and horror shows we grew up on have finally come true.  If you are in Centerville please leave
immediately.  I suggest you rendezvous at the National Guard Armory on the South of town.  We'll be
sending this over the net on frequency... Marcus what frequency can we send this out on?"

"Huh..."  he stammered, and then his electronic degree kicked in and he realized he could probably rig
something out and transmit it on 336Hz all he needed was some supplies from Radio Shanty.  "I can get it
out to the people on 336Hz, but I won't be able to transmit picture until we get more power and supplies."
he nodded.

"You heard it folks, this first message will be recorded, but shortly we'll be live.  So stay tuned to 336, Emily
Radio... where you can get the latest news on the Centerville Crisis!" She said with finality.  Jack turned off
the camera.

"Hey sis that was pretty good."

"Told ya I wanted to be a reporter." winking.  "Now let's get the fuck outta here before those things notice
us!"

"Hell yea!" Marcus chimed in.  "But what's more important?  Getting outta here or going to Radio Shanty?"

"Staying alive!"  Jack yelled pointing towards the group of things coming their way.  "Run!"
