Danni Haag has only recently given her loyalties to the Dragon’s Fury and their audacious leader, Katana
Tormark. Originally from the Rasalhague Dominion, she fought a silent war against the Ghost Bears’ oppression
of her people. Forced into exile, she quickly became one of Katana’s most capable and ardent supporters. Now,
in the opening moves of Katana’s grand design, she has tasked Danni Haag with taking the world of Addicks—
the first world to know such combat in decades.
Captain Tara Bishop has spent most of her life attempting to overcome the fact that only part of the blood in her
veins is Scottish Northwind. In fact, decades earlier, one of her ancestors was part of a House Davion force sent
to subdue the Northwind Highlanders. Nevertheless, she is fanatically devoted to the Highlanders and, more
important, to the cause and ideals of the Republic. With such dedication—not to mention her mastery of tactics—
she was the obvious choice to defend the world of Addicks against any attack.
