This day has been too risky. I understand the value of face-to-face meetings and
all, but having so many of them in a row . . . if anyone followed me for any
length of time today, they’d know something was up. Could’ve blown my cover.
I know everyone’s dying for information, but it might be better for them to wait
a little than to compromise me. At least until I assemble a new cover.
Anyway, some good came out of it. I am, as I’d hoped, a little more put
together. I’ll be getting to the places I want to be. Of course, judging from the
reports coming out of Prefecture V and other similar gossip floating around The
Republic, by the time I get where I want to be, a hundred new hot spots will
have erupted.
Well, we’ll see how many of ’em I can hit.
