[2725] During the Davion War of Succession, Federated Suns forces under the command of General Kessem,
streamed across the Kuritan border and made it as far as the important administrative centre of Ludwig, before
running into significant resistance. Too late, they realized that the Kuritans were ignoring the counterattack and
that the main body of the enemy was pushing on towards New Avalon.
After a year-long campaign, Kessem's brilliant reorganization of the Davion Light 'Mechs finally broke the
deadlock. This victory forced the Kuritan forces, whose resources were already overextended, to halt the
advance on New Avalon.
