[3132] McKenna is a cold, barren world. It's weather patterns produce almost continual snow, for virtually 11
months of the year. First colonized early in the 28th century, during a massive rush for mineral rights, McKenna
remains an important world for The Protectorate and Free Worlds League as a whole.
Ibstock was originally part of the Free Worlds League until the creation of The Republic. Ibstock became part of
Prefecture VII under the control of The Republic. After the fall of the HPG Network Fortress Republic was
created and many of the worlds under its control were set free.
[3135] Ibstock was released from the control of The Republic.
After being released from The Republic, Ibstock joined the Oriente Territory.
*[3140] Guthon Technologies is the only industrial operation left on the planet. Since its initial founding the
planet has cooled six degrees. The Repubic still maintains a military base of operations on the planet. The base
has been appropriately named Deep Freeze. The General in charge of the base is none other than Paladin Janella
Lakewood. She does not reside on base but visits it often. Of the 116,000 constant inhabitants 70% of them are
part of Deep Freeze. At the inception of the Fortress Republic all stationed at the base were given the option of
an honorable discharge. To a man they stayed. Their loyalty sometimes seems to be to Lakewood instead of
The Republic. The arsenal and orbiting Overlord DropShip make this region of space a quiet place, perfect for
Guthon Technologies' research. The Overloard "Icicle" has become the only routine delivery system for this
seemingly abandoned region of space. It is Oriente Territory in name only and is considered by many under the
control of The Republic.
